The LCT SA team once again joined the Africa Energy Indaba at the Sandton Convention Centre this year, with the theme “Africa’s Energy Future”.

Fittingly, Nikola Niebuhr from UNIDO, was interviewed by Platinum Gold Radio regarding low carbon transport and the rise of e-bikes in South Africa.  The e-bike that was discussed is not just a regular e-bike, but a solar powered one, proudly designed and manufactured by SunCycles in Namibia. SunCycles is a social enterprise that specialises in electric mobility and solar recharge systems. Their e-bikes follow their mandate: electric mobility for Africa.

At the Indaba, LCTSA stand ran a survey regarding electric mobility. If you engaged with the survey, you stood a chance to win a lucky draw – to win a SunCycles e-bike. Gert Roeloffse was the lucky winner of this e-bike.
